The movie talks about this boy who grew up to be a Manak (mammoth) hunter and then went on a journey to an unknown land to save his people and also the one he love.

Played by Steven Strait as the leading actor D’leh and Camille Belle as his childhood lover, Evolet. Evolet was being found by the hunters when they were patrolling and her blue eyes quickly captured the eyes of the Old mother who is the witch of the Yaghal village. She foresees that Evolet will bring hope to the weakened village as the manaks are not coming as often as they used to. D’leh and Evolet fell in love even when they are young but it didnt last long enough as there were four legged demons which is actually horsemen taking strong men and women away for their dirty schemes. Evolet was taken away as well when the leader of the horsemen was attracted to her beauty.

Then the story begins…

I like this movie as Evolet aka Camille Belle is damn hot! Like a goddess! haha Here, let me show you a picture of her in the movie..10000bc_photo.jpg

Hot right? Definately superbly sizzling hawt~ *psstttt* haha

Anyway, the movie is up to you to discover whether you really like it or not but it has a pretty crappy ending to it. But for those hopeless romantics.. watch it! LOL to me, its 3.5 stars over 5. Enjoy

General Election!

March 4, 2008 at 1:26 pm (Random) (, , , )

As a Malaysian who is qualified to vote, I am saddened by the fact that I am not eligible to vote because I need to register myself with the Election Commitee ATLEAST 6(SIX) months before a general election! I don’t know how Eugene get to vote eventhough he registered like only in January. But the thing is, why must a Malaysian register him/herself before voting in a general election? I mean are we not Malaysians at all? Isnt an IC sufficient? Fine if you say we need to register ourselves, but why does it take 6 months to process? One week is okay but SIX months??? This is ridiculous!

When they say our Government is poor but why do I see ads in newspapers, LRT stations, TV(ASTRO and our national stations), and also radio! For those who studied PR and Advertising should know very well how much it costs right? For a full page full color ad in The Star, it costs RM29k! And I see such ads at ALL dailies and LRT stations I commute and ALL radio stations for like a week already! Do you know how much it will cost them? They could have used a PR approach by doing social work like donating books to the poor, sending medical aids at rural areas, repair the roads that caused numeral fatal accidents. This will definately generate more publicity than their ads anytime! Not only that, it also benefits the people of Malaysia as well. I mean, there are still people living below the poverty level and they are spending it like this?

What I cant tolenrate is that Seputeh MP Teresa Kok was being described as a loose women by a BN candidate! What’s wrong with them? Win the election by doing the right stuff and not posting billboards with caricature that destroy the reputation of others. Atleast I dont see candidates from other parties doing such acts! To make things worse, that particular candidate says that she will not remove the billboard but will replace it with different caricature instead. I was like “Hello, your billboard is illegal?” They are not asking you to change but asking you to remove the whole damn thing!

I grew up in an area filled with political activities with DAP headquaters and BN service station right behind my house. I appreciate what they have done like:

  1. DAP setting up a safety talk when snatch cases were rampant during NON Election period.
  2. Kampung Tunku DUN DR. Wong Sai Hou modifying road barriers into more parking bays at Jalan 20/7 and also at SEA Park.
  3. Petaling Utara DUN Datuk Dr. Donald Lim Siang Chai for sponsoring the basketball court at Section 14 and also maintaining it during NON Election period.

And there’s more! If you do things the right way, the rakyat will see and will decide who to lead them on. Spending funds on the right thing is better than getting publicity by paying the advertisers. Just my 2cents anyway.
